1. His childhood

John Winston One Lennon was born on October 9 1940 in Liverpool. John is his grandfather’s name, and Winston is a tribute of the 1rst

English minister. His father was a sailor. He hasa half sister who is called Ingrid. His father put him in his aunt’s house. Twenty years after, his father tries to search John because the Beatlemania was very popular in England.
2) His musical debuts (1957 to 1962)
During his adolescence, John is crazy about rock’n’roll. He decides to train/form a group with his friend Eric Griffith (that’s why he had a guitar lesson). He met Paul McCartney with his band. It’s then they write songs. It’s the Beatles’s beginning.

Anecdote : When he starts to write songs, his aunt Mimi sometimes says that : "the guitar, I’ts very good, but you can’t live with this passion : you must have some money for having a good life !". Some years later, when the Beatles were at the top of their success, he offers her a silver plate with this sentence.

The Beatles’s debuts/The big time of the band/the separation

At the

beginning, the band was called « The Silver Beetles (like the film), the the Beatles (it’s a John’s idea) in tribute of the Beat Generation (à a big book and art movement). John writes songs, sing and plays guitar, Paul McCartney plays piano, George Harrison plays guitar too, and Ringo Starr plays battery/drum. The band knows now a big success in England

The first Beatles’s song is «　Love me Do　». After this moment, the Beatlers knows a big success. All the songs were write by Paul McCartney and John (Let it Be, Yesterday). The fans follow they everywhere. It’s the «　Beatlesmania　». All the world is crazy about the Beatles　! But all good thing has an end…

There is a bad atmosphere in the band. Lennon must wears round glasses, because he’s nearsighted (he can’t see anything without his glasses), and he makes look slimmer very fast. It’s when the Viet Nam was in war that John decides to quit the band. He goes to India and he met Yoko Ono, he new wife. He write songs like "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and Imagine (Today, there are very fabulous like the Beatles’s songs).

"Imagine" is maybe the most famous sing of John Lennon. She speaks about a world. A perfect world, that everybody live in peace (with not war), with not starvation (famine). Now, let’s get this song (maybe some teenagers knows this song).

3) Private part

John Lennon had a boy with Cynthia Lennon (his first wife), Julian Lennon who is a musician (he plays some instrument) (from John’s mother who was called Julia) and a girl with Yoko One : Kyoko (after she was called Rosemary).

4) The end of his career (his death)

It was on December 8 1980, on

a morning, certain Mark Chapman wait for John for an autograph. John sign. In the evening, Mark was still there. But he has assassinated John with his revolver. John was dying two seconds after. Chapman wait the policeman during he reads a book (l'attrapecoeur). We learn after that he was a madman/a crazy man. He is condemned to the prison for life. When Joh Lennon was dying, it’s a pacifist, an immense star too/also. His last song was Woman…

Handball is a team sport.

You play with six players and one goalkeeper.

The goalkeeper’s zone is until six metres from the net.

Handball was created in 1898 in Denmark.

In 1919, a PE teacher of a German school in Leipzig, Carl Schellenz, proposed an adaptation for the Torball's men, and created a game of handball for eleven players.

The German federation of Athletics and Gymnastics adopted it from 1920.

In 1926, to the Haye, the international federation of Athletics amateur’s congress named a commission responsible to establish international rules for the pratice of "handball".

In 1928, Handball appeared as a demonstration sport at the Amsterdam Olympics Games where the International Amateurs Federation of Handball was formed.

In 1936, 23 Countries and Nations were members of the F.I.H.A... Handball entered in the Berlin Olympics Games. Six Countries and Nations

participated: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, and the United-States. Two years later, Germany organized the first world Championship with eleven or seven players. Germany won both cups.

Irish music was developed in Ireland during the antiquities, it was often affected by political and religious situations. The symbol of Ireland is a harp.

As the result of mass immigration of Irish people, it spread across the U.S.A and especially in the United-Kingdom.

Irish music is an important part of Irish identity.

Irish music is very popular in Ireland, in pubs and at night, at festivals (St-Patrick) and parties.

The Irish instruments are:

Fiddle (or violins), banjos, uileans pipes, tin whistle, bodrans, accordions, harps and Irish guitar .

The famous Irish groups are:

The Corrs, U2, Cranberry , and for the traditional music are Altan , The Corrs , Primordial and etch…

In Irish there is a traditional dance, which is done only by feet, with the traditional Irish music.

FAMOUS PLACES IN NEW YORK

Times Square: Times Square is a famous square, located in Manhattan, more precisely the corner between the 42 th Avenue and Broadway. Here are gathered the most beautiful cinema halls, the most prestigious theaters in New York. In Times Square, there are tons of bright Publicity.

- The Empire State Building is a skyscraper located on the island of Manhattan in New York. Opened on 1 May 1931, it measures 381 meters (443.2 m with antenna) and has 102 floors. He is currently the largest building in the city.The Empire State Building is one of the most famous symbols of New York, the 86th floor, an observatory open to the public offers an impressive panoramic view of New York. The staging's most famous building is probably the movie King Kong.

Haut du formulaire-twin towers: in french "tours jumelles", the twin towers were located in lower Manhattan. They were built in 1966, they were used as offices. it was a symbol of economic power.

  September 11: This morning, four American commercial airplanes were hijacked by terrorists, 2 aircraft reached their target, while two other planes on the twin towers collapsed, a symbol of American economic power. The two towers collapsed in less than two hours and left thousands of injured and dead. This was followed by millions of viewers in real time.
Cleaning the city before that Mayor Rudolph Giuliani "cleaned up New York" the Big Apple we had was ungovernable rename "rotten apple". Since Rudolph Giuliani has severely punished the perpetrators, the city quickly became reassuring.

The droppings of dogs: all New Yorkers have a dog, has a small plastic bag to pick up their dog droppings.
Leftovers: restaurant in New York, it is very common to ask a Tupperware to bring the rest of the dish.
To buy the newspaper there are vending machines, just drag the currency and a small door opens to pick up the newspaper.
Party:
- St. Patrick's Day Parade: March 17 is the feast Irish New York, we walk around with a badge "today I'm Irish."
- Easter Parade: Easter Sunday, it’s a parade, New Yorkers are disguised in the morning and there is an egg hunt in central park.

- Halloween: Oct. 31, in residential neighborhoods children go from door to door demanding sweets or they threaten to make a bad joke if people don’t give them anything.
- Thanksgiving: the last Thursday of November, all the families gather around the turkey and pumpkin pie.
